San Francisco Feetwarmers is a group of legendary Bay Area musicians playing joyful classic jazz from the foot-stomping roaring twenties. Featuring a two cornet line-up of Mike Slack and Tom Barnebey, expect to hear some great King Oliver tunes plus the wonderful music of Morton, Bechet, Armstrong and Fats Waller.
This fine band has been featured at the Sacramento Jubilee, the Fairmont on Nob Hill, and jazz festivals and clubs all over California. "These guys play the real thing!" said Mike Foley of Sacramento Trad Jazz. They lay down a solid four-beat, great for dancers, and they are guaranteed to get your feet tapping and put a smile on your face.
San Francisco Feetwarmers...that's an unusual name? Not when you recall the great Sidney Bechet's New Orleans Feetwarmers, Ellington's Harlem Feetwarmers and Johnny Dodds' Chicago Feetwarmers. It is the perfect name for a band playing classic jazz with a touch of class.
Tickets are $25 general admission; $15 for students/low income individuals. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.
Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
