Description of Event
APLD members have an exclusive chance to take a private tour of the mitigation project implemented by SANDAG called W-19. Don’t miss this rare opportunity!
The project involved the restoration of approximately 50 acres of intertidal wetlands and 15 acres of brackish wetlands, as well as the creation and/or enhancement of approximately 5 acres of native riparian habitat.
The completed project provides immense wildlife habitat value and other ecosystem services.
In addition to the ecological benefits of the wetland restoration, the W-19 project also involved the creation of a new trail segment linking the Dust Devil Nature Trail to the Coast and Crest Trail, increasing public access for recreation, education, and wildlife viewing.
