Hello to our Sistah’s of the Drum,Come Celebrate Our 27th Year Anniversary at WorldBeat Cultural Center indoors at Balboa Park
We are gathering to honor OUR beautiful Sacred Circle to celebrate yet another year with our Sistahs of The DRUM!! San Diego Women’s Drum Circle has continued to evolve and enlighten us throughout our rhythmic journey. This community is important and created over the years by YOU Sistahs! We are committed in our intentions to keeping the energy alive and Soul~filled. Our mission is to support women through any transition & to reap the health benefits of drumming. It has been such an honor witnessing the many generations over the years being touched by this organization. We have been Blessed to infuse creativity, freedom, safety, empowerment and support each other along our journey of life.
Our Sistah Makeda Cheatom founded this Cultural Center in 1984 and has been an iconic community leader in San Diego creating this multi generational, multi cultural center. We are truly grateful to Makeda for saying yes!
Our anniversary circle is a special time to share in conversation, make connections with our community by gathering to share rhythm through our heart space beat of a drum.
Potluck starts at 5 pm. In addition WorldBeat has a cafe open providing Vegan Soul Food.
A Special shout out to The Brothers of The John D Spreckels Masonic Lodge for supporting us all these years. Their Sanctuary has provided our Sacred Circle a consistent safe place we have called home each month.

SPECIAL GUEST: Sherry DuSoleil is a New Thought singer, voice-actor, poet, and Freemason. With a 23 year background in holistic healing and meditation facilitation, her healing energy influences every facet of her professional life. Her music and poetry cater to Women’s Equality and releasing old trauma bonds. She is the creator the one-woman show, “I Am Here: A Story of the Unbreakable Spirit,” and she is the current Director of Music for the only recognized Masonic Lodge for Women in the United States, located in Washington DC. As a voice-actor, her voice can be heard in several unsuspecting places, to include an ad for a new language-learning app, which will be broadcast internationally later this fall!
SPECIAL GUEST: Teri Wilder will be playing Magical Gongs & lead us into a meditation of deep relaxation. Sound healing promotes relaxation and boost the immune system. Enjoy receiving this beautiful gift. Contact Teri for a one-on-one gong session
SPECIAL GUEST: Debrah Scheufler will be dancing solo to a “Tribute to Mut” belly dancing. “Mut, the mother goddess of Egypt, is revered asa primordial source of creation. She shape shifts from serpent to eagle to lion, always both fearsome and nurturing.”

WHAT TO BRING: a drum or instrument. A yummy dish for the potluck, and a Sister friend of course!
WE WILL SUPPLY: chairs, extra drums, instruments, a sound system, plates, utensils, cups, cake, juice, water and a whole lot of rhythm!
WHAT WE NEED: Volunteers to help set up at 4:30 pm and definitely volunteers to help tear down and clean up. PLEASE CONTACT NICOLE @619 602-6097 WITH YOUR AVAILABILITY.
