Israeli violinist Vadim Gluzman, internationally recognized as among today’s top performing artists, serves as both director and soloist with the SA Phil for the evening. The concert opens with Russian composer Alfred Schnittke’s elegant multi movement work in the style of Baroque music. Mozart’s dramatic Symphony No. 25, known as the "little G Minor symphony", was written when he was just 17 years old. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s sublime Violin Concerto featuring the unparalleled artistry of Gluzman.
