Join the 2025 Kentucky Derby Festival fun - whether you're spectating from the comfort of your bed or racing in one with your team at the Samtec Great Bed Races!This year, we’re celebration 80's & 90's style with our theme Happy Derby: Pink Out Party! Whether you’re watching from the stands or racing with your team, this event promises loads of fun.
The action-packed event will take place on Monday, April 28, 2025. Get ready for a day filled with excitement:
1:00 PM: Tailgate Party Starts
6:00 PM: Parade of Beds
7:00 PM: Races Begin
Admission is free with a 2025 Pegasus Pin®, and there’s a $15 KEC Parking fee.
Want to be in the thick of the action? Grab four of your friends or co-workers, build a bed on wheels, decorate it, and don a ridiculous costume for the race. You’ll be competing for more than just speed – awards include Fastest Course Times (in two divisions: champions & fun), Best Decorated, Most Entertaining, and the infamous Cone Eater Award.
