Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2024

Calling all aspiring changemakers and innovators - Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow 2024 competition is now on! Your ultimate playground to dream big, invent cool stuff and champion social change, the competition invites secondary school students in Singapore to share an idea or solution to make Singapore a better place. . Participants’ ideas should address one of the following 5 themes: Health, Sports & Wellness; Environmental Sustainability; Learning & Education; Inclusive, Harmonious Society; or Singapore’s Digital Future. 

Simply form a team of 2-4 students, guided by a teacher mentor, to participate. Attractive prizes, including cash and Samsung products worth up to S$37,000 are up for grabs!

Competition Details 

• Submission Period: 23rd May - 14th July 2024 
• Early Submission Bonus: Entries submitted by 17th June will receive bonus points. 
• Phases: Following the Submission Phase, selected finalists will advance to the Finalist Phase, culminating in an awards session later in the competition.

Themes 

Participants will submit ideas addressing one of the five key themes: 

1. Environmental Sustainability: Solutions for combating climate change and promoting sustainability. 

1. Health, Sports & Wellness: Innovations enhancing health, wellness, and sports inclusivity. 

1. Learning & Education: Transformative ideas for future-ready education. 

1. Inclusive, Harmonious Society: Strategies for fostering community cohesion and inclusivity. 

1. Singapore’s Digital Future: Pioneering solutions to drive Singapore’s digital evolution and cybersecurity. 

Eligibility 

• Participants must be full-time Secondary 1 – 5 students in Singapore. 
• For students in a 6-year Integrated Programme (IP), only full-time students in Secondary 1 to Secondary 4 are eligible. 

Prizes 

• First Prize: S$10,000 worth of Samsung products + S$7,000 cash prize 
• Second Prize: S$7,000 worth of Samsung products + S$5,000 cash prize 
• Third Prize: S$5,000 worth of Samsung products + S$3,000 cash prize 

Participation Process 

1. Form a team of 2-4 students with a teacher mentor. 

1. Complete the submission form with team and project details: 

• Team Details: Name, members’ names, ages, school email addresses, contact number of representative, and mentor’s name and email. 
• Project Details: Chosen theme, project title, 100-word problem description, and 200-word solution description.
