Sýningin Samsteypa er samstarf textílhönnuðarins Unu Kristínar Jónsdóttur og grafísku hönnuðanna Arons Freys Heimissonar og Einars Guðmundssonar.
Sýningin skoðar samþættingu ólíkra og andstæðra efna, sýnir eiginleika þeirra í nýju samhengi og býður áhorfendum að íhuga styrk, brothættni og tengslin sem sameina þau.
Lágmyndaverkin, unnin úr vistvænni steinsteypu, flétta saman endurnýttan textíl og þræði í varanleg form þar sem mýkt og hreyfanleiki tekst á við formfestu og þyngd.
Andstæðurnar sem myndast á milli lífrænna og geómetríska forma verða því áberandi, þar sem efnisvalið dregur fram bæði áferð og eiginleika sem skapa spennandi sjónræn og huglæg áhrif.
Með því að steypa textíl í föst form er einnig opnað á samtal milli þess tímabundna og varanlega. Þráðurinn — oft tákn fyrir tengingar, hreyfingu og sveigjanleika — fær nýtt hlutverk í köldum og stöðugum ramma steinsteypunnar. Umbreyting sem kallar á íhugun um efnislegar andstæður, umbreytingar og endingu.
Sýningin býður gestum að skoða hvernig ólíkar áferðir og form mætast, fléttast saman og umbreytast í einingu sem kallast á við heiti hennar — Samsteypa. Hún er hugleiðing um samspil efnis og forms, hvernig andstæður geta skapað nýja heild.
Samsteypa kallar áhorfendur til að sjá fegurðina í andstæðum og styrkinn í samhljómi, hugvekja um samspil lista, arkitektúrs og handverks.

The exhibition invites visitors to observe how different textures and forms meet, intertwine, and transform into a unified whole, echoing its name — Samsteypa. It is a meditation on the interplay of material and form, how contrasts can create new wholeness.
