Samson leads the Hebrews in a revolt against their enemies, the Philistines. Fearing his supernatural strength, they send a priestess, Delilah, to seduce him and discover his secret. She betrays him and shorn of his hair and his strength, Samson is imprisoned in the Philistines' temple.
