You are warmly invited to join the Misty Mountain chapter of the United Universalist Pagans for a Samhain Grief Ritual, a time-honored practice offering space to mourn, reflect, and honor those we have lost—whether through recent challenges like Hurricane Helene or other personal griefs.Samhain (pronounced SOW-in) marks the season when the veil between worlds is said to thin, allowing us to honor ancestors, connect with loved ones who have passed, and release our sorrows together. Through ritual, reflection, and community support, we’ll create a safe and sacred space to honor the grief we carry and share our healing journey.
You are welcome to bring mementos or photos of loved ones to place on the ancestral altar as part of this shared remembrance, and we encourage you to bring a blanket as a source of comfort and warmth during the ritual. This ritual is open to all, including those new to pagan or earth-based spiritual practices. No prior experience or specific beliefs are needed—simply bring yourself, your memories, and an open heart as we gather to find strength and solace in each other.
**There will be a potluck feast to follow. Please bring a dish, if you are able, and be prepared to list its ingredients for allergen purposes!**
This event will take place in the Fellowship Hall.
