Circle 'round, witch and wise-folk,Harvest Season is ending!
Gather in the woods with us,
feel Winter's cloak descending.
Part the veil and see them off,
loved ones now departed.
Turn the Wheel and finish now
this cycle that we've started.
We gathered first beneath a moon
new and filled with promise.
We spoke a wish for friends and kin
who revere both God and Goddess.
"Let them find our fire," we asked,
"each time the Wheel turns."
A year has passed, and here we stand,
no longer must we yearn.
For we have built community.
Our circle stands strong.
So gather at our Samhain fire
with drum and heart and song.
Which is to say...
Come to the party! It's the last harvest of this year's Wheel, and this marks the first completion of a cycle for Sylvan Sanctuary! Woot woot! We gathered on the first new moon of this Wheel back in November of 2023, and we set the intention to build community. AND LOOK WHAT WE DID!
All are welcome—new friends, old friends, frequent flyers—just abide the Rede: An' ye harm none, do what ye will.
Dress in your finest for this Witches' Ball! Gowns, suits, masks, capes, costumes...whatever you're feeling. This is our new year, so pagan-glam it up.
Bring a dish to share—remember, potlucks only work if everyone contributes something! (If you're struggling with food insecurity, though, we've got you and totally understand. Just bring your appetite. No explanation required.)
The soiree starts at 6 p.m. and ritual begins at 7 p.m. SHARP, so if you know that you're a Late Lucy or Tardy Trent, shoot for 6 so you don't miss the circle. Dress for the weather (layers, you know?), because our circle *will* be held outside as long as the weather allows it.
Food will be set out immediately following the circle.
Bring a photo for the Ancestor Altar.
Bring a drum.
If you work in divinations, bring your supplies. Your cards, your runes, I Ching, teacups, whatever you work with. We plan to take advantage of this veil-thin night and have space reserved in a quiet classroom for people to give readings.
Sylvan Sanctuary CUUPS is an inclusive, open circle. All genders, sexes, orientations, melanin levels, ethnicities, abilities, ages and other identifiers are welcome and cherished at Sylvan Sanctuary.
We never charge fees for our events, but free-will donations are graciously accepted.
