Join us for a 2 hour special workshop hosted by Sam and RobertSam and Robert Explore is a new workshop concept where we will take you on a deep dive through a topic that we are passionate about - you will get a glimpse into how we think, and interpret this dance - both as individuals as well as within our partnership.
Our goal is to provide a space where you are encouraged to ask questions, talk through your ideas, and discover your own identity in this dance.

The topic for our first workshop is: Listening Skills - Music Edition!
Before Musicality, Phrase Changes, or Styling, the first skill we should build is actually **listening** to the music that we are dancing to.
We will be listening to music, breaking it down, and talking about what we hear. You will find out how we both individually break down a song, and we will guide you on how to build these skills for yourself.
What you can expect during this 2 hour workshop:
- Sit-down discussion as we listen to songs. (Open forum, Q&A)
- Individual and partnered movement to explore the ways we can show what we hear in a song.
- Open practice time near the end to apply the skills socially.
What not to expect:
- This is NOT a music theory workshop. We will be discussing how to intuitively build an "ear" for music.
- This is NOT a musicality workshop - we will not be giving you specific movements to try on your body, or new patterns to hit phrase changes...
What you need:
- Something to take notes with (there will be lots of discussion)
- An open mind
