Sam Pankey is an upright and electric bassist who has performed and recorded internationally with a variety of artists, including Elias Haslanger, Ephraim Owens, Kevin Lovejoy, Lex Land, Red Young, Adrian Ruiz, Sarah Aranella, Star Parks, Marmalakes, Mother Falcon, and many more. After studying Jazz Performance at the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas, he competed in the Scott LaFaro Jazz Bass competition, where he was a semi-finalist.
