Five albums into an acclaimed career, Sam Morrow has carved out a sound that exists somewhere outside of genre and geography. It's his own version of modern-day American roots music, rock & roll, bluesy R&B, and country-fried funky-tonk, driven forward by groove, grease, and guitars. It's also a sound that pays tribute to the road, where Morrow spent most of the past decade on tour.
Sam’s latest effort, “On The Ride Here,” is set to be released March 22 on the Los Angeles-based Copaco Records, in partnership with Blue Elan Records. “On The Ride Here” traces the evolution of Morrow’s sound across five lauded albums, showcasing his distinctive, signature blend of blues-infused, country funk-driven guitar-centric, American Rock… a vibe that has become his trademark. It also echoes a theme of non-stop touring for the last three years, sharing the stage with such notable acts as Red Clay Strays, The Record Company, North Mississippi Allstars, Whitey Morgan, and finishing with his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. This new album’s not just a collection of tracks; it's a testament to Morrow's artistry and vibrant experiences etched into the fabric of his music.
