We’re excited to announce that Sam Mihara will be visiting Eureka High School on Thursday, November 6th in the auditorium.Sam Mihara is a second-generation Japanese American who, at age 9, was forced with his family into the Heart Mountain, Wyoming incarceration camp during World War II. Now 90 years old, Sam is the only remaining survivor who travels nationally and internationally sharing his firsthand account of this dark chapter in U.S. history. His presentation offers a powerful opportunity for our students to connect history with lived experience and lessons of social justice.
