Sam Ellefson started his comedy career in Tacoma, WA nearly 10 years ago. Now based in Denver, he returns to his favorite dive bar to record a 30min comedy special. Come enjoy drinks, food, a unique atmosphere, and laughs for just $10 plus fees! Plus a lineup of hilarius local comedians you won't want to miss! There show is being recorded and there will be a full camera crew on site.

Bob's Java Jive is a "Word Famous" Bar in Tacoma with a storied history. The story of the venue includes alleged visits by Elvis Presley and Keanu Reaves trying to buy it and ship it to Hawaii. Bob's used to regularly host comedy where Sam helped to produce open mics and showcases for years. Now, this historic venue will serve as the backdrop for the live taping of Sam's new half hour comedy special.

Sam, now based in Denver, is originally from a suburb of a suburb in Minnesota. After he left small-town America for the Pacific Northwest, he started his comedy career with a grassroots comedy show in college that earned two Northwest Emmy Nominations (Which is not fake. It is a very real regional awards ceremony). Sam is the ultimate middle child whose down-to-earth Midwest storytelling style combines with his charm and quick wit to have you laughing hard in your seat. Sam’s comedy has been featured in festivals across the country including the prestigious High Plains Comedy Festival and he regularly works at some of the best clubs west of the Mississippi. He is a regular at the world famous Comedy Works in Denver and recently placed second at the 2024 Comedy Fort’s Funniest Competition.
