🌴 Bachata Paradise on kulttuurin täyteinen, dominikaanisen bachatan tanssielämys Oulussa! Tervetuloa oppimaan bachatan leikkisästä ja rennosta olemuksesta kansainvälisen vieraamme Kuriko La JapoManan kanssa, joka tulee Saksasta (Kuubasta!) asti jakamaan kanssamme tietoa, taitoa ja intohimonsa tätä lajia kohtaan!
🌴 Kurikolla on lähes 20 vuoden kokemus bachatan ja muiden autenttisten latinalaisten tanssien tanssimisesta ja hän on rakentanut tanssiyhteisöjä ja opettanut niitä vuodesta 2017. Hänen missionsa on tarjota autenttinen tanssikokemus kulttuurisen lähestymistavan kautta, koska hän uskoo, että tämä auttaa meitä nauttimaan tansseista entistä enemmän ja myös löytämään autenttisemman yhteyden itseemme.
🌴 Kurssien lisäksi järjestämme myös BILEET lauantaina klo, jolloin voit laittaa kaikki lauantain kursseilla oppimasi jo tanssilattialle! Soitamme bileissä enimmäkseen bachataa ja salsaa, mutta joukkoon voidaan lisätä myös kizombaa, sonia, cha cha chaa:ta ja merengueakin tanssijoiden mieltymysten mukaan!

🌺 OHJELMA:
Viikonlopun työpajat ovat jaettu kolmeen osaan (2 lauantaina, yksi sunnuntaina), joka tähtää autenttisesti dominikaanisen bachatan tanssikokemukseen. Lauantaina keskitytään tärkeisiin perusteisiin, sunnuntaina sukelletaan syvemmälle ja otetaan mukaan lisää haasteita.
☀️ LAUANTAI 22.3. ☀️
Lauantain tunnit ovat avoimen tason tunteja, jotka sopivat tanssijoille, joilla on enemmän tai vähemmän kokemusta bachatasta. Pääpaino on bachatan rennon ja hauskan luonteen ilmentämisessä erilaisten perusaskelten, liikkeiden ja rakenteiden kautta. Tule kokemaan saaren bachathan maku Jyväskylään tänä päivänä, joka keskittyy tanssin tärkeimpään osa-alueeseen – PERUSTEISIIN!

➡️ Lauantain tasosta:
- avoimen tason tunnit sopivat kaikille joilla on enemmän tai vähemmän kokemusta bachatasta
- jos olet täysin aloittelija tanssissa (tai tanssinut vasta kovin vähän aikaa) suosittelemme sinulle lauantain ensimmäistä osuutta
- mikäli sinulla on vähän kokemusta bachatasta mutta muuta tanssikokemusta muista paritansseista voit hyvin osallistua koko päivän kursseille
- lauantain kursseja suositellaan erittäin lämpimästi myös tanssijoille joilla on enemmän kokemusta (autenttisesta) bachatasta sillä lauantain tunnit sukeltavat tähän monipuoliseen tanssiin erityisesti tanssin rentouden ja leikkisyyden kautta ja johdattelevat sinut niin tärkeiden tämän tanssin perusteiden läpi

☀️ SUNNUNTAI 23.3. ☀️
Sunnuntain työpajoissa sukellamme syvemmälle bachatan eri osa-alueisiin, kuten musikaalisuuteen, erilaisiin tapoihin luoda yhteyttä pariin ja jalkatyöhön. Sunnuntai on suunnattu tanssijoille, jotka haluavat laajentaa tanssitietoisuuttaan bachatassa ja latinalaisamerikkalaisissa tansseissa ja joilla on jo hieman enemmän kokemusta bachatasta. Sunnuntai sopii myös kaikille pitkän ja monipuolisen paritanssitaustan omaaville tanssijoille joilla on esimerkiksi vähän kokemusta bachatasta tai jotka nappaavat helposti uutta ja ovat mukana myös lauantain tunneilla. Suosittelemme vahvasti osallistumaan myös lauantain työpajoihin, koska meillä ei ole riittävästi aikaa palata kaikkiin tärkeisiin perusasioihin sunnuntain työpajoissa. Uuden opettajan kursseille tullessasi kannattaa aina palata perusteisiin sillä jokaisella opettajalla on oma historiansa ja tapa opettaa jonka vuoksi tutuistakin asoista ammennat lisää kun opettajan lähestymistapa on omanlaisensa!
11.15 – 14.30 BACHATA III (sis. 15 min tauon)
- esimerkkejä teemoista ja sisällöistä:
- erilaiset tavat olla yhteydessä pariin
- musikaalisuus
- footwork eli jalkatyöskentely (mukaan laitetaan
tarvittaessa helpompia ja haasteellisempia variaatioita
tanssijoiden taustaan ja kokemukseen peilaten)
- tämä työpaja suunnataan tanssijoille joilla on jo
vähän enemmän kokemusta (autenttisesta)
bachatasta
- mukaan ovat tervetulleita toki myös tanssijat jotka oppivat nopeasti, ja joilla on pitkä tausta monista eri paritanssilajeista ja jotka pääsevät mukaan luomaan perustan lauantaista alkaen

- rakennetaan lauantain perusteiden päälle
- suosittelemme sunnuntain tunteja tanssjoille joilla on jo myös aikaisempaa taustaa muistakin paritansseista sekä aikaisempaa kokemusta (autenttisesta) bachatasta

Citydancen aulasta löytyy jääkaappi ja mikroaaltouuni jotka ovat tanssijoiden käytössä. Omat ruokailuvälineet on hyvä ottaa mukaan. Koululla on myös suihkut, wc:t ja pukuhuoneet sekä miehille että naisille.
Tuothan kursseille ja bileisiin sisäkengät, jotka eivät jätä jälkiä lattiaan. Mikäli käytät korkokenkiä, otathan mukaan korkosuojukset lattian suojaamiseksi.

🌼 Kuriko La JapoMana 🌼
Kuriko La JapoMana on kansainvälinen Bachatan, Merenguen ja Casinon tanssinopettaja, joka tunnetaan myös latinalaisten tanssikulttuurien lähettiläänä.
Tämä Japanin saksalainen on rakastanut ja tanssinut latinalaisia sosiaalitansseja jo vuodesta 2006. Vuonna 2017 hän alkoi opettaa ja innostui tanssiyhteisöjen tukemisesta ja rakentamisesta.
Kuriko on vieraillut Dominikaanisessa tasavallassa lukemattomia kertoja vuodesta 2011 lähtien. Kuubassa hän on vieraillut 4 kertaa vuodesta 2016. Kuriko syventää jatkuvasti ymmärrystään näistä tansseista ja kulttuurista elämällä läheisessä vuorovaikutuksessa tämän tanssikulttuurin tanssijoiden, muusikoiden ja ihmisten kanssa.
Hänen missionsa on tarjota autenttisia tanssikokemuksia kulttuurisen lähestymistavan kautta, koska hän uskoo, että tällä tavalla pääsemme nauttimaan näistä tansseista entistä enemmän ja myös löytämään aidon yhteyden itseemme.
Kuriko on opettanut ja inspiroinut ihmisiä luomaan omia tanssiyhteisöjä myös monissa maailman maissa: vuosina 2017-2022 pääasiassa Frankfurtissa Saksassa, jossa hän loi myös dominikaanisen tanssiyhteisön, 2022 ja 2023 Tokiossa Japanissa, Malesiassa, Uudessa-Seelannissa, Australiassa, Alankomaissa, Ruotsissa, Espanjassa, Ranskassa. Tällä hetkellä hän oleilee Kuubassa.

🌴Bachata Paradise is a cultural dance experience of Dominican bachata in Oulu, Finland! Welcome to learn about the playful and relaxed essence of bachata with our international guest Kuriko La JapoMana who is coming all the way from Germany (and Cuba!) to share her passion and experience of this dance with us!
🌴 Kuriko has almost 20 years of experience dancing bachata and other authentic latin dances and she has been building dance communities and teaching them since 2017. Her mission to deliver the most authentic dance experience through cultural aspects because she believes that this helps us to enjoy the dances even more and also to connect with ourselves in a more authentic way.
🌴 Among the workshops we´re also going to have a PARTY on Saturday where you can put all your Saturday workshop materials already on the dance floor! We´ll play mostly bachata and salsa in the party but some kizomba, son, cha cha cha and merengue might also be added to the mix according to the preferences of the dancers!

🌺 PROGRAM:
The whole weekend is a full package of authentically Dominican dance experience of Bachata divided into 3 blocks (2 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday). Saturday is the day for Essentials that will be slowly build through 2 sets and Sunday is the deep dive/challenge day.
☀️ SATURDAY 22.3. ☀️
Saturday classes are open level classes suitable for dancers with different levels of experience in bachata. The main focus is embodying the relaxed and fun nature of bachata through various basic steps, movements and structures. Come and experience the flavour of bachata of the Island in Jyväskylä on this day that focusses on the most important part – FUNDAMENTALS!
11.30 – 13.30 BACHATA I

- diving into the relaxed essence of bachata

➡️ About the level on Saturday:
- open level suitable for people with different levels of experience with bachata
- for total beginners we recommend the first part of Saturday workshops
- if you are a beginner in bachata but have longer experience in different partner dances you can very well attend both workshops
- Saturday workshops are highly recommended also to dancers who have already some experience in (authentic) bachata since Saturday workshops dive into this versatile dance through the lens of experiencing the relaxaedness, playfulness and fun of the dance and guide you through the very ESSENTIALS of this dance

☀️ SUNDAY 23.3. ☀️
In Sunday workshops we´ll dive deeper into the different aspects of bachata like musicality, different ways to connect and footwork. Sunday is aimed for dancers who want to expand their dance awareness in Bachata and Latin dance and have already a bit more experience in bachata. Sunday workshops are also suitable for dancers who have a long and versatile experience in other couple dances and maybe some experience in bachata and/or take part in our Saturday workshops and learn new things quickly. We strongly recommend attending also Saturday workshops as we will not have the proper time time to come back to the all important fundamentals on Sunday workshops and coming to a new teachers class you will always learn new things as all teachers will have their personal approach and flavour in teaching.
11.15 – 14.30 BACHATA III (incl. a 15 minute snack break)

🌺 Registrations are binding and cancellations after 7th of March are possible only by providing a doctors certificate otherwise an invoice of the payment will still be sent. If you need to cancel after this date you can also sell your place forward to a dancer of the same role as you or be prepared to pay the workshop anyway.
🌺 With preregistrations we will make sure we have enough participants to cover the costs of the workshops. We will also like to take good care of the balance of leaders and followers in the workshops so that everybody will have equal amount of time to practice.
🌺 We strongly recommend to try to find yourself a partner for the workshops as that will always help us to provide a balanced experience for everybody. You can also register without a partner and we´ll match you up when opposite role dancers register.

At the location there is a kitchen with a fridge and microwave. It´s good to bring your own cutlery.
There are also showers, toilets and changing rooms both for men and women at the location.

TEACHER DESCRIPTION
🌼 Kuriko La JapoMana 🌼
Kuriko La JapoMana is an international dance instructor of Bachata, Merengue and Casino, also known as the Messenger of Latin dance cultures.
The Japanese German has been loving and dancing Latin social since 2006. In 2017 she started teaching and building communities.
Kuriko has been visiting the Dominican Republic countless times since 2011, and Cuba 4 times since 2016. Thanks to the close interactions she has been having with the local people, dancers and musicians, she continuously deepens her understanding for the cultures and the dances.
Her mission to deliver the most authentic dance experience through cultural aspects because she believes that this helps us to enjoy the dances even more and also to connect with ourselves in a more authentic way.
Kuriko has been teaching and inspiring people to create their own communities also in many countries in the world: 2017-2022 mainly in Frankfurt Germany where she also created a Dominican dance community , 2022 and 2023 in Tokyo Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, France. Currently she is enjoying life in Cuba.
