We're excited to host a good ole time of live music during W.C. Handy Fest this year on July 19th. Lucie Tiger (Florence, AL) and Sam and the Big Boys (Gadsden, AL) will be at the flagship general store playing some tunes and just hangin' out. Doors will be at 5 and the show will start at 6. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, she's always been Southern in spirit and now calls Florence, Alabama, her sweet home. The Sound of the Year is the debut release from Sam & the Big Boys.
The goal of this event was to capture video and audio for seven original songs. All audio recordings were done live with no cuts. All performances took place on the same day with a small audience present for a final run-through that evening. The Sound of the Year was recorded live at The Coffee Bar in Gadsden, AL with the invaluable help of dear friends— Jesse Collier, Kymbil Presley, Andrew Panik, Shane Stewart, Sara Summerhill, and Blake Walch— to whom we are deeply indebted, and to whom this thing is humbly dedicated.
