Step into a fairy tale! Our garden is bringing Jack and the Beanstalk to life! STUDIO & STORY TIME (12:15-1:00 pm)
Listen to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and go on a little adventure! Geared towards ages 2-5, but all are welcome.
DROP-IN ACTIVITIES (1:00-4:00 pm)
All ages welcome!
-Create a paper roll planter to take home and grow your very own bean!
-Participate in a green bean taste test.
-Add your art to the story walk around the garden, and be part of the museum for a month.
-Make a rhythmic instrument using beans.
-Find all the items in a scanvenger hunt and earn a prize!

Chrissy Cannon is a certified MSU Extension Master Gardener and is currently the lead designer and organizer of the Hemmeter Elementary School Garden program. She has a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science, with a concentration in conservation biology focusing on bioregional Great Lakes ecology and environmental education. She has worked for both the Michigan and Wisconsin Departments of Natural Resources in park interpretation and for Northwood University teaching environmental science, ecology, and climate change courses. Chrissy has a passion for sharing the joy of the natural world with others which she hopes ignites sparks in people as they dig in the dirt and learn more about nature!
