Join us for the Salute to Service Walk, a powerful community event dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces and in first responder roles —past and present. This isn’t just a walk—it’s a movement of gratitude, remembrance, and unity.
Why Walk?
Every step you take helps shine a light on the sacrifices of our veterans and first responders. It raises awareness for the ongoing needs of those who’ve worn the uniform. This family-friendly event welcomes all ages and fitness levels—walk in honor of a loved one, in support of the cause, or simply to show your appreciation.
A portion of the proceeds from this walk will go to the Women Veterans of the Coastal Empire.
The fee to sign up is $22 - in recognition of the fact that every day roughly 22 veteran commits suicide. Walks like this that raise funds and awareness for veteran needs is so important. Join us!

Food Trucks and Vendors wanted! Sign up early as we only allow so many spots per category/cuisine type and they fill up quickly.
This event is part of the Fall Festival hosted by Live Like Locals and Chatham County Parks and Recreation.
If you're joining us for the walk, plan to stay awhile after and enjoy the Fall Festival activities... like food trucks, vendors, games and tractor ride.
