Saluki Football vs. Illinois State (Blackout Cancer)

Saluki Athletics and the SIH Foundation are teaming up for the Salukis Blackout Cancer Football game on Saturday, October 5th @ 6:00pm. Gates open at 5:00pm. The first 1,000 fans to enter Saluki Stadium will receive a Brandon Jacobs bobblehead, as SIU continues its bobblehead series of Saluki NFL greats.
The Saluki Football team will be on the field wearing special black Under Armour® jerseys won through the Salukis Blackout Cancer jersey auction. These jerseys will commemorate loved ones by placing those names on each jersey's back. The Blackout Cancer games are a way for Saluki fans and community members to raise funds to support the Coach K*ll Cancer Fund. The Coach K*ll Cancer Fund was established after Coach Jerry K*ll's personal experience with cancer. The fund helps patients in need throughout the southern 16 counties of Illinois with expenses such as fuel, prescriptions, nutritional needs, transportation costs, and treatment-related medical bills.
