The Salty Dog Triathlon starts at 7 a.m. at Salt City Splash Aquatic Center in Carey Park. Individuals will swim 400 meters in the pool, bike 10.5 miles on a course closed to vehicles, and run 3.1 miles on a paved trail. The entire event is held within beautiful Carey Park. The event is chip-timed, which assists us with the accuracy of each leg, transition, and overall results.
All participants will receive a finisher's medal. Awards will be given for overall male/female finishers and top three male/female finishers in selected age groups. The Salty Pup Triathlon is a miniature version of the Salty Dog that will take place after the Salty Dog Triathlon. Created for youth 15 and under, competitors will swim 100 meters, bike 4.2 miles, and run 1 mile on a course similar to the Salty Dog inside Carey Park. The event is chip-timed which assists us with the accuracy of each leg, transition, and overall results.
Check-in for Salty Pup Begins at 7:30 a.m.; Event starts around 8:30 a.m. (following the adult triathlon)
