About this Event
Come join SCDNR and staff to learn about saltwater fishing. If you're already an avid angler but want to learn about saltwater fishing, please join us!
The holidays can be tough for military members and their families, especially if loved ones are deployed. We want to offer a fishing activity for families and/or individuals so that they can come back to 3rd Bn Pond and enjoy fishing.
We will have all supplies, including rods and reels, bait, and tackle for everyone to borrow. If you have your own equipment, please feel free to bring it.
Time: 8AM-12PM
Where: Here are the GPS Coordinates: 32°21'07.5"N 80°42'05.0"W
When you come through the gates, you'll go to the traffic circle. You'll make the exit onto 3rd Bn Pond Road. There's two pull offs on the side of the road and you'll see SCDNR's Fishing Trailer and other base staff there. We will also have signs out.
What to bring: chairs, maybe a cart if you have a lot of stuff to haul, snacks, a hat, warm clothing, and your fishing license.
If you or your children are participating and they are 16 and older, they must have a valid saltwater fishing license.
