About this Event
Hello Phoenix Shapers! Come join us down at the Salt River on June 29, 2024 to clean up the beloved riverbank and have some fun in the sun! We will be starting at 9am until 11am at the Pebble Beach Recreation Area and will be picking up trash, dipping our toes in the water, and a chance for Phoenix Shapers to get out and have a positive impact in our community. Anna Bartholomew will be setting up early on the river at 7am to get the best spot along the riverbank before the crowds come in, so please reach out to her if you are interested in coming out early to set up and carpool. Recognizing the massive heat waves coming through Phoenix, we might have to postpone if the weather is not favorable. Please read the additional important information regarding logistics getting to the river:
- Duration: 9am to 11am
- Location: Pebble Beach Recreation Area, Mesa, AZ 85215
- 7am Set Up: Anna will be heading down to the river at 7am to set up the best spot, please reach out if you are interested in coming down early and carpooling with her to the river! Interested Shapers will be meeting at 249 N Sunrise, Mesa, AZ 85207 for the early risers.
- Parking: Parking at the river **REQUIRES** a Tonto Day Pass, which is $8 dollars per vehicle. - Carpool: With that said about the Tonto Day Pass, carpooling is HIGHLY recommended. Please RSVP ASAP and we can coordinate carpooling with Shapers near you!
- What to bring: Bring swimsuits, trash pickers, trash bags, sunscreen, water, snacks, hats and any other items you feel you need to beat the heat and have fun in the river!
- Lunch: We will be grabbing lunch at Chipotle at 2849 N Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215 after our time at the river.
