Salt Pump Climbing Company in Portsmouth will host a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday April 27 2024. The event is entirely free and open to the public.
The day full of free festivities will kick off with a ‘Kids Carnival’ for children and families from 10AM-12:30PM including climbing and yoga classes and demonstrations games and entertainment. An afternoon of ‘big kid’ (adult) climbing and yoga demonstrations and classes games and taco bar will happen from 1-5PM. A ceremonial sign planting will take place at 2PM outside the newly opened Constitution Avenue facility. A vendor village of health- wellness- and adventure-focused local businesses will be present and the fundraising raffle will benefit local climbing stewardship organizations including Pawtuckaway Climbers Coalition and Rumney Climbers Association.

First time climbers are encouraged to attend Salt Pump will provide facility tours rental equipment and climbing instruction all free of charge for attendees. The morning hours are intended for kids and families the afternoon hours for adults.
