After two sold out events, SalsaVita in Lincoln now have a bigger and better venue for our parties!
The Bishop Grosseteste University Student Union where we host our SBK dance events, has a fantastic large & well-ventilated dancefloor space upstairs with a balcony. New for December, another dance area bar downstairs. There is also comfy seating areas (plus a pool table room) downstairs when you need a bit of a rest from dancing. It also has a huge, FREE car park.
There is also now low cost on-site accommodation available, which you can book on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact us for more details.
To celebrate, we have booked in THREE parties for the year! After the fab success of our Easter and Summer party, it is now time for party number 3, our XMAS PARTY and as guest teacher we welcome the one-and-only Nicolai V!
Nicolai is well known as a true legend in the salsa world, and has 30+ years in the scene. Originally based in Leeds, he was instrumental in developing the salsa community all over the North: from Newcastle to Derby, Liverpool and Hull. Nicolai’s technical expertise, smooth lead and approachable teaching-style has made him a popular, much loved and respected teacher and followers queue up to dance with him!
As well as Nicolai's classes, we'll have the brilliant DJ's Esref (upstairs) and Andy Mellor (downstairs) on the decks, spoiling us with an amazing selection of tunes for the night.
Everyone over 16 welcome!
Even if you have never danced before and you would like a night out either to find out what a salsa party is like and to enjoy the music and great company. (We have a beginners class just for you, if you do fancy having a go!)
For those experienced dancers, boy do we have a night lined up for you!
7.00pm: Doors & bar open
7.30pm: Intermediate crossbody salsa class with Nicolai
8.30pm: Beginner/Improver crossbody salsa class with Nicolai
9.30pm-1.00am: Social party and dancing
Music throughout the night will be a mix of salsa, bachata and kizomba with a sprinkling of reggaetón, cha cha and urbankiz. With of course some fun line-ups/animations thrown in!
Make sure not to miss this as we'll be making sure it is a great night for you to enjoy and remember!
