About this Event
Join us for a fun (but deep) conversation exploring how salsa is more than just music –– it’s a story of migration, culture and community. We’ll dive into salsa history by tracing its own migratory pattern from West Africa to Cuba, New York City and South America, picking up new sounds and styles along the way.
Salsa Z believes that dance is a language. And in Miami, we speak a lot of languages. The way we place our feet and move our hips tells the story of how we got here, whether we know it or not. This conversation is about honoring those journeys and celebrating how music connects us across borders, generations and cultures. Because without migration, there would be no salsa.
