You've heard of Taco Tuesday, now it's time to get ready for Salsa Sunday.
That's right, it's time for the fourth annual CrossRidge Church Salsa contest. If you think your salsa is the best thing north of the Rio Grande, now is your chance to prove it.
Now, we understand that it's been a full year since our last salsa contest, so we've got lots of information to share. Keep reading and take it all in.
The Details:
First and foremost, the contest. We're looking to find the best salsa this town has to offer, and here's how we're going to do it. We will be awarding the best red salsa, the best green salsa, and the best overall. That's it. No extra criteria, no limitations, nothing. If you want to win, it should be undeniable that your salsa is the best salsa.
Secondly, the tacos. Well, not just tacos this year. After we feasted on tacos last year, we've decided to expand our offerings to any salsa-related entrée you would like to provide. Consider it a BYOTOOE (Bring Your Own Taco or Other Entrée) with plenty to share with others. More about how to sign up later.
Next, you. If you want to enter a salsa, register down below and come ready to be judged like it's the throne room. This year, we are asking participants to only bring one salsa that they want to be judged, in either the red or green contest. If you want to bring tacos, again, sign up below and get ready to make your best tacos. If you just want to come eat some tacos and check out the salsa, you're more than welcome to, no registration required.
Lastly, you may be thinking to yourself, "What do they mean by salsa?" I am so glad you asked. Think of it as a blank canvas. Some of you like it thin, while some of you may like it thick. Green salsa and red salsa are both great too! However you like your salsa, we want to try it, so bring us your salsa best!
