Salsa Musicality, Timing and Percussion with Mauricio Reyes

The fantastic Mauricio Reyes will lead this one-off musicality, timing and percussion workshop.
This will be an Open Level session, suitable for all salsa levels. We will be exploring how the polyrhythmic nature of Salsa & clave-based music directly impacts how we dance it, and the variety of rhythms & timings that we use to closely interpret the various styles. It’s about listening, feeling & interpreting the music, making it an even more enjoyable/rewarding experience for all levels, by being more connected to the music, and ultimately becoming a better dancer.
The workshops will be augmented with live percussive rhythms to help you get a better feel. If you have your own Latin percussion instruments, do bring them!
The workshop will run from 2-4pm, doors open at 1.45pm.
