The Southern Arizona LGBTQ+ Sports Alliance (SALSA) holds open meetings on the 3rd Sunday of every month as a way to increase engagement, participation, transparency, and community building. Whether you're a current member, athlete, volunteer, sponsor, or just curious about getting involved — you are welcome at the table. 🏳️🌈🥎❤️
At this month’s meeting, we’ll be discussing:
• Weekly practices and strategies for recruiting new players
• Our coed team Jalapeño Business — sponsorship plans and player recruitment needs
• Expanding additional sports under the SALSA umbrella (financially and structurally)
• Newsletter development and ongoing communication plans
• Bisbee Pride parade float planning timeline and logistics
• Fundraising and sponsorship opportunities
• Future and potential events, including forming the committee for the Fierce & Fabulous World AIDS Day event (launching in August)
• Open floor for new ideas and community input
We are capping meetings at 90 minutes to stay focused and productive, knowing we meet monthly and can prioritize topics as needed.
