Would you like to support the Salsa for Charity Christmas event?About the Teacher
We’re delighted to have Dance with Jo for her teaching debut at this month’s Salsa for Charity night! Jo teaches Cuban Salsa and Rueda across Sunderland and the North East, and also leads line dancing and Salsacise classes for groups of various ages and abilities. She runs a weekly salsa night in Sunderland and co-teaches another in Whitley Bay, as well as bringing the salsa fun to various community festivals. Jo is also the organiser behind our charity events every two months, helping bring our community together to dance for good causes.
Dancing has been Jo’s passion since she was 3 years old, beginning with ballet and ballroom & Latin before discovering salsa about 10 years ago – and never looking back. Dance has been an important source of joy and connection throughout her life, especially during tougher times, and she loves sharing those same benefits with others. Jo will be leading our salsa class for the evening, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy her classes!
THE CHOSEN CAUSE
This month, our Salsa for Charity night supports Pawz for Thought — a dedicated animal rescue charity based in Sunderland that works across the North East.
Pawz for Thought rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes animals in need — from cats and dogs to small pets and even wildlife. All their animals are cared for lovingly, fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered before adoption.
Because they receive no government funding, Pawz for Thought relies entirely on donations and support from people like us.
Your support tonight will help provide shelter, care and a second chance for vulnerable animals, giving them a loving “forever home.” Thank you for helping give animals a voice and a safe place.
