Each workshop will consist of 2 hours of either open work and partner work followed by an hours social for practise and individual personalised feedback.
ALL WORKSHOPS ARE PROGRESSIVE OPEN LEVEL.
⭐️CHA CHA CHA⭐️
1st hour -
Whatever level you are, we will be refreshing your timing and how to start on time correctly. Going on to give you a variety of open shine work, that’ll give you an understanding of rhythms used within ChaChaCha. Understanding these principles, along with great foundations will transform your dancing, plus give you the confidence when you’re in a social setting.
2nd hour -
We will be covering some foundations in partner work, as well as all your turns and prep’s from the lead and follower’s perspective. To finish, we’ll be completing a nice turn pattern for you to practise and work on in the last section of the workshop.
3rd hour -
Will be an hour of social dancing to practise, practise and more practise. Salsa Feel Good instructors will be on hand for feedback and any questions you may have.
⭐️On2 Salsa (Mambo)⭐️
1st hour -
This On2 workshop will give you an opportunity to understand the correct break down of weight transfer, timing and work on drills you can take away and practise at home.
On2 timing has different timings which are all connected, once understood you’ll be able to mix them and choose the feel you want to create to the music.
We will be using the Eddie Torres NY timing to get you started in this workshop. We will also be covering some open shine work too.
2nd hour -
Leads and followers will be working on timing, feel, turns, prep’s and ques which will help you understand the difference between On2 timing to dancing On1.
We will finish with a nice turn pattern for you to practise in the last session.
3rd hour -
Practise makes perfect in this 1 hour social. Salsa Feel Good instructor’s will be on hand for feedback and help to any questions you might have.
This workshop is ideal for experienced On1 dancers wishing to transition to On2 but also for the seasoned On2 dancer, as this will be a progressive open level workshop.
