Celebrate the Third Anniversary of The Bay with a Latino-inspired dance party while the sun sets over Sarasota Bay. The festivities begin with a sparkling champagne toast, followed by a lively dance lesson led by the talented instructors from Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just learning your first steps, you’ll be ready to dance the night away under the stars to the vibrant, tropical rhythms of Grammy Award–winning Millie Puente.
Come as you are—bring your friends, your family, a date, or fly solo.
All levels welcome: beginners, pros, singles, and couples alike.

About Millie Puente
Millie Puente, born in the Bronx and raised in Puerto Rico, has been inseparable from music her entire life. A gifted singer and Latin percussionist, she released her debut album Tito Puente Presents Millie P. in 1990, earning a Grammy Award for Best Album and Best Tropical Music of the year. Over the years, she has performed with legends including Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Rubén Blades, Sheila Escobedo, and Mongo Santamaría. Beyond music, she appeared in the film The Mambo Kings alongside Antonio Banderas and Celia Cruz. Proficient on congas, timbales, cajón, drums, and tambourine, Millie has traveled the world sharing her art and learning from diverse cultures. She now lives in Spring Hill, Florida, leading a band and working as a vocal coach and voice teacher in the Tampa Bay area.

- Free parking is located around the site— along Blvd of the Arts and Van Wezel Way, and in front of the Van Wezel, Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda. Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.
