Nollaig na mBan or Little Christmas is the final day of Christmas. Traditionally, it was when women rested, gathered and ate together after the whirlwind of domestic duties that was Christmas.
In what is fast becoming a Salon Rógaire tradition we will gather in the cosy, iconic setting of the Winding Stair bookshop and hear from an all female superstar line-up of performers. Each will explore different aspects of womanhood and a raucous time will be had.
Joining us on the evening will be Ana Kinsella on prose, a double bill of Megans featuring Megan Atkinson on poetry and Meg O'Driscoll on essays. Chun an oíche a chríochnú rachfaidh muid ar aistear beag le Amano agus í á chasadh a h-amhráníocht.
The event is BYOB and all profits from the evening will go to Women's Aid and their vital work. The picture of the mná above comes from the Folklore Collection and was restored in colour for Old Ireland in Colour.
