About this Event
Salem State University is proud to open its Cyber Range, funded through CyberTrust Massachusetts. This cutting-edge cybersecurity training lab will offer a wide range of real-world simulations and practical lab environments to prepare users with the knowledge and skills they need to prevent and respond to a variety of cyberattacks. Programming is hands-on and will simulate data breaches, malware and ransomware attacks, and other cyberattacks in a realistic, controlled setting.
This facility and its programs are designed for students and community partners alike. The university aims to partner with municipalities, police departments, small and large businesses, school districts, and non-profit organizations to provide the skills and confidence necessary to navigate the ever-changing landscape of cybercrime.
The only facility of its kind North of Boston, and the fourth in the state, the SSU Cyber Range is located in the Harrington Campus Classroom Building and has the capacity to welcome 24 students and professionals in real-time simulations that will strengthen statewide resilience against cyber attacks.
The ribbon-cutting event will include remarks from university officials, cybersecurity industry partners and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll. There will also be opportunities to tour the Cyber Range and see demonstrations of the range in action. We hope you are able to join us for this exciting celebration!
