SAL Talks: Beyond the Narrative
What if the stories we’ve always believed were incomplete?
SAL Talks presents Beyond the Narrative, an intentional conversation exploring perception, bias, leadership, and the unseen influences shaping the way we think, communicate, and make decisions every day.
Featuring Chris Tomlinson, author of two New York Times bestsellers and co-author of Forget the Alamo: The Rise and Fall of an American Myth. Chris will discuss how historical narratives and public perception shape culture, identity, and the way communities understand history and truth.
Joining him is Sammy Villela, U.S. Army Veteran and Deputy Director of Army Counterintelligence in the Southwest United States with over 35 years of leadership and operational experience. Sammy will bring a leadership perspective focused on communication, assumptions, bias, and decision-making in both personal and professional environments.
Together, both conversations are designed to challenge perspectives, spark meaningful dialogue, and encourage growth through deeper understanding and intentional leadership.
