Join us for Sal Day, a low-key, feel-good supply drive supporting incarcerated adult GED students, complete with all the Sal-themed chaos you could hope for. We’ll be hanging out, having drinks, and collecting classroom supplies that go directly to students working toward their GED. These guys are putting in real effort to change their lives and their communities; education is hugely important to students both before and after reentry. Having nice materials and up-to-date books just makes it that much easier to do the work; knowing their city cares about them and roots for their success makes the work meaningful.
What to expect:
• Sal-themed drink specials (names may be ridiculous, drinks will be good)
• Games & mini activities to satiate our lack of attention spans
• Sal vibes everywhere
• A very normal amount of fun
