Happy New Year!We wish you all a year of good health and prosperity.
We're less than one month away. Don't miss out on this great opportunity!
Colorado Budokan along with Little Well Studio will be bringing the Olympian Sakura Kokumai to the Social Fabric Hub on February 1, 2026 for a day of educational experiences for both karate-ka and non-practicing community members. As you know, Sakura is the first American karate-ka to qualify for the Olympics and is also the only female kata athlete to represent Karate from the US at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She has also been recently named Athlete of the Year by USA Karate. We invite you, your students, friends and families to please join us in this special event.
Programming will consist of 3 sessions:
10am-Noon Kata Seminar (participation limited to karate-ka)
Noon-1pm Lunch & Refreshments (open to all)
1-2pm Community Talk (open to all)
Participants may elect to attend all events or just a portion and may register on SignUp Genius.
It's truly a privilege to welcome an athlete of Sakura's caliber into our community and we hope to share this unique experience with as many individuals as possible.
Warmly,
Candice Tsutsui
