Washing Machine Disco Club and Holy Pavlova are proud to present 'Pavlova Machine vol. 2', an intimate leisure coast dance party, featuring ELSY WAMEYO, REENIE and WASHING MACHINE DJSESLY WAMEYO has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in recent years. The Kenyan-born, Adelaide-based singer and songwriter has been developing her craft against a changing social and cultural landscape – changes that have seen Elsy elevate and evolve as a woman, and an artist. Capturing the attention of the industry quickly with early releases showcasing a natural talent for lyricism and performance, Elsy’s music and artistry has become bolstered in recent years by a clarity in vision, reinforced pride in her faith and culture; and a confidence in where her unique voice can carry her, earning early cosigns from international artists such as Masego and Lady Leshurr. Following the release of singles ‘Sinner’, ‘Piny Lara’ and ‘Umva’ earlier this year, (which gained support from CLASH, Bonafide Mag, Paper Mag, DIY Mag, COLORS, NTS Radio & more), and two incredible performances at The Great Escape Festival (and with a slot at both Pitchfork Festival & End Of The Road confirmed for later this year) Elsy gets ready to unveil her biggest creative touchstone to date – her debut studio album, ‘Saint Sinner’. Brought to life against a bed of meticulously produced beats and rhythms, Elsy Wameyo’s empowered sense of delivery across this album is undeniable - just the way she intended. To create this piece of work, Elsy returned home to Kenya – a decision made to inform her new work, but also to rediscover the Elsy who was behind the creative ambition that first set her on this path to greatness. Building a team of producers, fellow songwriters and close connections, including Wuod Omollo, Polycarp Otieno and Ywaya Tajiri, Elsy surrounded herself with personalities and energy that encouraged growth and rejuvenation of one’s spirit. Saint Sinner is the culmination of those sessions spent writing and recording together in Kenya’s Naivasha region.
We can't wait to witness ELSY WAMEYO in full force right here in Austinmer. Sydney party-starter REENIE will also be hitting the decks to keep the fire burning plus WASHING MACHINE DJs on disco duties throughout the night
