Saidpur Runners proudly announce the long-awaited comeback of the Second session of the renowned Saidpur 10k on 27th September 2024 at Saidpur!Who We Are?
Saidpur is a city located in the Nilphamari district in the Rangpur Division of Bangladesh. It serves as a crucial communication hub for neighboring major districts headquarters and is home to the Saidpur Airport, one of the busiest domestic airports. Additionally, the Saidpur Railway Workshop, established in 1870, is the largest of its kind in Bangladesh and was a key railway workshop for the Assam-Bengal railway.
The city was founded around 1870 during the British Colonial regime and gained Thana status in 1915.
In the past few years, there has been a significant increase in running activities in Saidpur due to the establishment of the Saidpur Runners community. This group is based in Saidpur and spreading the message of importance of Running ‘Run for Health’.
Last year, Saidpur Runners successfully co-organized a 10k event with Team Dhanmondi called the "Saidpur Friendship 10K," which was highly successful.
Saidpur 10K:
Based on the success of last year, we are going to organize a short-distance running event that includes a complementary tour to City of Saidpur and Dinajpur.
The Saidpur 10K, 2024 combines running with a tour of iconic landmarks and historic sites in Saidpur-Dinajpur. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the vibrancy of the city's culture and rich history, as well as the natural beauty of North Bengal. They will also get to explore the dignity of the railway workshop and the significance of the liberation war with enthusiasm. This occasion is more than just a regular running event – it's an opportunity to immerse in an experience; it's a festivity that honors culture, wellness, and the unity of the community.

▪️This event is exclusively for non- professional runners. Professional runners are not allowed to participate.
▪️This is a live event, and there is no option for virtual participation.
▪️Only participants who are registered can join the race using their assigned individual BIB.
Transfer of BIB is strictly prohibited.
▪️Runners are encouraged to wear the event T-shirt of Saidpur 10k 2024 and wearing T-shirts from other events is strictly prohibited.
▪️Due to climate or unforeseen circumstances, the organizer reserves the rights to make any decision about the event and is not liable to conduct the event.
