Just how big is the biggest cactus in the United States? Can you eat it? What role does it play in our desert community? Get answers to these questions and more when you join us for a ranger-led hike to observe and learn about the mighty saguaro. We’ll walk and talk for about an hour (give or take). Expect small hills and loose gravel on a moderate trail. Children (ages 10 and up) are welcome. No pets, please. Bring good shoes and water, and meet at the Palo Verde Day Use Ramada. The program is free with park entry. Hike will be limited to the first 12 participants on a first come, first serve basis.
