Safety in Faith Training

The JCSO is offering a free training on the topic of mental health concerns for houses of worship. Faith leaders, administrators, safety team members, and volunteers, as well as interested members of the public, are invited to attend.

In recent years, faith leaders and church safety team members have seen an increase in the number of visitors to their facility who are experiencing a mental health issue. Mental Health Specialist Amanda Davis will explain some of the reasons for this increase, and share crucial information that will aid greeters, safety team members, and leadership in peacefully managing visitors who may be in crisis.
