About this Event
Safety + self-defense skills for perilous times
Saturday, February 22, 12:30-3:30 pm in person in DC
With another TrUGHmp administration, gender-based violence and other hate violence is on the rise. Join us to learn skills to keep yourself safer in everyday situations (and in especially dangerous ones too!).
You’ll find the power in your body and mind to practice boundary-setting as the foundation of self-defense, and effective strikes as a last resort.
We’ll cover:
- the 5 basic elements of boundary-setting
- how to bring the temperature down when someone is escalated
- simple physical strikes for the worst-case situation
- and more!
