safeTALK: Suicide Alertness for Everyone. This in-person training is for people who work or live in Muskegon County, Michigan
Join us to learn and practice powerful, life-saving skills in just 3.5 hours using a simple yet effective model, safeTALK. safeTALK empowers everyone to make a difference. With over 120,000 people attending each year, it is the world’s fasted growing suicide prevention training. Livingworks' safeTALK training is evidence based and is recommended for anyone in the community.
Learning objectives:
- Participants will learn the TALK steps: Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe
- Recognize how persons with thoughts of suicide are inviting us to help them stay safe
- Engage persons with thoughts of suicide in a brief, direct conversation about suicide
- Connect persons with thoughts of suicide to life saving support and resources
Fee is $25 per person if requesting Social work CEs and/or MCBAP (3 CEs). Please be sure to include your social work license number in the registration if requesting Social Work CEs. Eventbrite fees will be deducted for any cancellations.
