safeTALK is a half-day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of experience, to become a suicide-alert helper.

safeTALK is a workshop that prepares participants to identify and engage people with thoughts of suicide and connect them with further help and care.

About the Course

Most people with thoughts of suicide do not want to die but are struggling with the pain in their lives and invite help. Often these opportunities are missed, dismissed or avoided – leaving people more alone and at greater risk.

Learning Objectives

Learn four basic steps to recognize persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them with suicide helping resources.

Target Audience

Anyone who might want to help; minimum age 15 years.
