Introduction to Safeguarding - for Manchester Supplementary Schools OnlyAbout this Event
Safeguarding training for supplementary school staff and volunteers. Suitable for staff/volunteers working in Supplementary Schools.
Learning outcome;
- To recognise the different ways in which children and young people can be harmed
- To be able to recognise the possible signs of child abuse
- To look at how children and young people may be victim of exploitation
- To know what to do if child abuse is being suspected or a disclosure is made
- Build on and update existing knowledge
For those of you who have booked more than one place from same supplementary school with the same email, please forward information to your colleagues that are attending on the day. You are responsible they have the information so they can plan.
There will be breaks during the day, and we will provide tea/coffee as well as water. You are advised to bring your own snack/lunch.
Please note;
- No attendance without explanation/notification will occur a cost to the supplementary school of £10 per no attendee
- Late arrival after 10:30 will not be able to attend as certificates can only be issued if attending the full day
