In February 2023 the Government released its new strategy for children’s social care with the view to improve the lives of children by focusing on love within a safe, stable and reliable setting. The paper, Stable Homes, Built on Love highlights the need for improved front line protection, in part enacted through better multiagency partnership working and information sharing.

All individuals and organisations that work with or have contact with children have a responsibility to identify risks and through robust safeguarding procedures protect them from harm. This conference will explore some of limitations within the current system and discuss how fallibilities can be reduced and how improved and more resilient processes can be established.
