Safeguarding Children Training
If you work frequently with children and/ or their families, it is essential that you have an up-to-date knowledge of child protection procedures. This Safeguarding Children course will help to increase your existing safeguarding knowledge including what’s involved in the safeguarding process.
Course Content:
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Describe what safeguarding and child protection are and why they are important.
Identify different types of maltreatment and indicators of potential concerns.
Identify additional vulnerabilities and risk factors for children.
Recognise the roles of different agencies and identify when and how to work with them.
Respond appropriately to children's differing levels of need.
Follow best practice when making a referral.
