About this Event
Artificial intelligence, digital platforms and connectivity have created extraordinary opportunities. However, they have also made crime against children pervasive, instantaneous and deeply insidious, leaving no child safe simply because of geography. A child can be abused without being touched, trafficked without crossing a visible border, and sexually abused without ever leaving their home.
AI is accelerating both online harms to children and the potential for scaled prevention, detection, and response. Across many markets—especially under‑resourced contexts—enforcement capacity, investigative tooling, and cross‑border coordination remain limited. The policy and industry challenge is to strengthen safeguards and accountability without stifling innovation, while aligning incentives across government, industry, and civil society.
This conversation will explore ways to strengthen safeguards and accountability for the protection of children while supporting responsible innovation and to help align incentives across government, industry, and civil society.
