Safe Staff Training Workshop

This required food employee training program includes everything you need including instructions, food safety best practices, quizzes and assessments, Food Handler certificate and a wallet card issued upon successful completion.

The workshop will cover the following six mandated key food safety principles:

· Ensuring proper personal hygiene

· Preventing cross contamination

· Controlling time and temperature when handling food

· Proper cleaning and sanitizing

· The causes and effects of major foodborne illnesses

· Ensuring proper vermin control.

Did you know? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that approximately 48 million people fall ill due to foodborne diseases each year in the United States. Among these cases: Hospitalizations: Around 128,000 individuals require hospitalization. Sadly 3,000 people lose their lives due to foodborne illnesses annually. These illnesses have significant consequences. Foodborne illnesses cost the United States more than $15.6 billion annually.

Employee training may cost a little in time and money but, pays off in higher dividends when it results in your employees being properly trained and having the knowledge, skills and ability to prevent foodborne illness in your operation.

Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) programs are designed to improve the likelihood that participants will make healthy lifestyle choices to improve their overall health, well-being, food safety practices, quality of life and/or choose a physically active lifestyle.
