Safe Passage is DeKalb County’s domestic violence and sexual assault crisis center. This informational table will have brochures about Safe Passage’s free and confidential services for anyone who has experienced domestic violence or sexual assault. Free giveaway items such as office supplies, fidget toys, bookmarks, purple items for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and more with Safe Passage’s hotline and text line on them will be available. The brochures feature information on counseling, legal advocacy, case management, shelter, and abuse intervention services that Safe Passage provides.
Additionally, the table will have fliers with information about upcoming events including a book club on “The Color Purple” being hosted by Safe Passage staff on October 24 at the DeKalb Public Library. Patrons can also learn about volunteer, internship, and employment opportunities. Finally, there will be a sign-up for Safe Passage’s newsletter to be kept up to date on continuous opportunities and events.
This booth is free and open to all.
